Pilgrimage to Corfe Castle in Dorset in honour of St Edward the King who was martyred there in 978 AD

IMPORTANT: St Edward's Relics are held at the cemetery in Brookwood, however please be aware that the Monastery is part of a jurisdiction in schism with Eastern Orthodoxy. As always, please make sure to obtain a blessing from your priest before attending the pilgrimage. On Saturday 14 March 2025 there will be a pilgrimage to Corfe Castle in Dorset in honour of St Edward the King who was martyred there in 978 AD. This year, the provisional programme is as follows: 830am meet at Corfe Castle ð° 9am set off on walk along Purbeck ridge ðĢ 12pm catch steam train from Swanage (packed lunches on the train) ð 1230pm climbing and abseiling activity ð§ 4pm Set off for Brookwood cemetery (where St Edward's relics are held)ðŠĶ 630pm meet monks at Brookwood monastery The main postcode for visiting Corfe Castle (National Trust) is BH20 5EZ for the village area, while the dedicated National Trust car park uses BH20 5DR. It is located on the A351 road in Dorset, near Wareham.
